COVID-19 Services Continuity Plan Update

Posted on 3/13/2020

UPDATE on 3/30/20: We are strictly adhering to Federal social distancing guidelines and will extend our continuity plan to May 4th, 2020. We will update this page as new information surfaces and we will continue honoring our commitment to delivering our services in a distributed way that ensures the safety of our employees.

To Our Valued Customers, Partners and Users:

At Human API, one of our core values is to put individuals in control of their own health data. And, we consider our customers far more than just customers — we are partners in success. Maintaining that sense of partnership is paramount to our value of customer obsession.

During the coming weeks and months, Human API remains committed to keeping our service up and running for our customers and users.  By design, our services were developed to provide continuity and resiliency through a cloud-based architecture and distributed operations model so that we can operate without service disruptions. Our business, technical, and operations teams work remotely and collaboratively to mitigate any potential disruptions to our business, including pandemics such as COVID-19.

Below is a summary of Human API’s current steps toward ensuring resilience across our health data networks and services.

Workforce. At the beginning of March, we notified our teams to work at home whenever possible and limit time in office. Travel restrictions were also implemented for business travelers. Our teams are able to work remotely and perform their jobs securely.  Ongoing monitoring and assessment is taking place with health and safety advisories from the Centers for Disease Control as well as other federal and state health departments.  Further steps to protect our workforce will be taken as steps are identified.

Operations. We are committed to delivering real-time data network services for customers and users.  To do this, our staff continue with their daily work, and we proactively adjust as changes are identified.  Our policies and procedures support ongoing operations and changes in response to potential disruptions.

Customer and Partner Updates.  Open and direct communications are part of our culture and business code of conduct.  We will share ongoing updates on the status of services and operations. We will continue to communicate directly with customers and partners to maintain transparency and proactivity.

Business Continuity. We maintain an active business continuity program that includes proactive identification of issues.  We will follow through with active and appropriate responses when changes in our environment trigger business continuity responses and any escalation of responses.

We are committed to the health, safety and success of our community.  Please contact us for questions, concerns and other follow-up.

Keep Safe and Best Regards,

The Human API Team
