Product feature release: introducing our new Vaccine Search Experience!

As America opens back up and people start returning to normal life, businesses are increasingly using COVID health pass solutions to verify health statuses and ensure the safety of their customers and employees. Human API has been powering COVID health pass solutions by giving consumers a simple way to connect and share their vaccine records digitally, and we’re happy to announce the release of our new Vaccine Search Experience feature. 

Our new feature guides consumers to easily find their vaccine records online. 

It typically takes just a few minutes for a consumer to connect and share their vaccine records from the provider, pharmacy, and lab data sources in our network. 

Through our internal research and work with health pass providers, we found that it can be confusing for people to locate their vaccine records online, due to the diversity of vaccination sites and variance in where records are digitally stored. The Vaccine Search Experience is a feature that allows a consumer to easily find and retrieve their online vaccine record from a variety of data sources including mass vaccination centers, pharmacies, labs, hospitals, and local healthcare providers (all of which are within Human API’s national clinical data network).

What does this mean for health pass solutions and their consumers?

For health pass solutions, online retrieval of vaccination records represents the most trusted and fastest form of COVID health pass verification today. We believe that as new variants emerge, COVID cases fluctuate, and the need for booster shots arise, the need for digital verification and continuous health information screening will only increase. We built this new feature to enable more consumers to seamlessly connect & share their vaccine data with health pass providers, so we can more quickly adapt to contain the spread of COVID in real-time. 

For consumers, finding their vaccination records online can be difficult, especially in cases where someone was vaccinated in a mall, a national park, or at a sports stadium. The Vaccine Search Experience is aimed at making it easy for consumers to find their vaccination location and the supporting patient portal, while providing education around connecting records online if the consumer is hesitant to connect or wants additional information.

We hope our new Vaccine Search Experience simplifies the experience of finding and sharing vaccine records online so more people will participate in digital vaccine verification and contribute to maintaining safe environments going forward.
